The BIS Courses that I have taken for my degree teach an in depth understanding of how interdisciplinary studies can be used in a career. The BIS core classes are listed below.
BIS 301: This course helps students become aware of theory behind interdisciplinary studies. It also gives an understanding of Interdisciplinary studies and it's history. In this class we applied the idea of integration into current events. I have attached a current event example where I demonstrate my ability to integrate disciplines.
BIS 302: This course teaches students three different methods on how to discover new knowledge.
BIS 401: This class is an internship program that allows students to apply their interdisciplinary skills in an applied setting.
Here is an attachment of a paper I completed in BIS 301 demonstrating my ability to integrate my two concentrations.
